Captain Sean is almost 5

Sniff sniff...as I type this, Sean's birthday is tomorrow. I have no idea how that happened! I keep telling him that we never gave him permission to grow to which he responds something along the lines of having to grow up so he can get married and have his own babies. What?! Please sweetheart, there is absolutely no hurry.

We had Sean's pirate themed birthday party in the backyard last weekend. Thankfully the weather cooperated with an absolutely beautiful day so everyone could just play outside on the playhouse instead of getting every single toy out in the house. Rob created a treasure hunt too to include feeding the seagulls off the dock, scaling the rigging, using a "telescope", walking a plank, and finally a treasure chest full of gold. Chocolate gold! Instead of presents, Sean encouraged his friends to bring donations for the local SPCA - what a good heart he has! The party was deemed a success when we had kids crying because they didn't want to leave!




Of course we got dresed up for this too. The boys loved wearing torn and ripped clothing and even wore their outfits out to dinner that night. Rob made my laced shirt and I think he looks pretty cute with a big fake clip on earring. All the kids loved the cardboard boat he made. Like our broom oar? Geez I love days like his!
