Baseball season is in SWING...

Oh baseball season - the time of year when we hardly eat dinner together because we are shuffling off to someone's baseball practice or the other's game. We have officially moved into a 2 team family as Ryan plays his first year of Minors in Little League and Sean plays his first year of t-ball. After years of dragging Sea to Ryan's games, Ryan now is being dragged to Sean! Not really a payback of any sort though as Ryan just reads instead of repeatedly requsting an adult to play with him or covering himself in dirt. Rainy weather has prompted the cancellation of a number of practices and Ryan's first game so his pictures will be posted at a later time. We forgot how long a simple t-ball game can be! 90 minutes and we only made it through 2 innings but everyone got to bat, there were now outs that counted, and everyone ran the bases. Coaches are out on the field helping and encouraging players no matter what team they are on. It really is sportsmanship at it's best right now. The kids are just so happy to be playing or picking flowers, or talking to their friends, or in Sean's case watching the jets fly by. For the first inning of his game, Sean played first base. He even managed to retrieve a throw and take the base before a runner got there. Much excitement! His throws almost made it to home plate too and he remembered not to throw it unless someone was looking his direction. Second inning he played a version of shortstop which evidently was not as interesting but at least he wasn't lying down in the dirt (no names mentioned to protect the eventual embarassment of someone else...)

A few pictures for your viewing pleasure:

I'd post the video too but I've tried 3 times and it won't upload or download or sideways load...
