Trial and Error

Well for someone who is completely unsavy with anything tech oriented....this is my blog! I have no idea if I am doing anything correctly with this. Easy to set up in 5 minutes my foot - only if you understand tech speak which I have decided is a foreign language.

Why the blog now? That's a good question. I am learning a lesson from my dear fabulous friend Adri, who picks a word every year to influence her goals and decisions. I've been toying with the same idea for years but being the procrastinator that I am, well am finally doing it. This year's word is CONNECT...to mean with technology and with my friends and family. This is one of the steps along that journey. I have also successfully played a DVD on the TV because all the directions are written down in my infamous red notebook (thank you Santa for my new one!)and Rob labeled all the remotes for me. I have also learned to recharge my ipod. Laugh if you must as this is quite comical even to me but these are all things I have avoided because it just becomes something else to do on my to-do list (in same red notebook). Ironic isn't it then that I just added a blog to my to-do list. Yes it is, but really what could be better than sharing life and laughter with people I love? So while everyone is out of the house and I can enjoy the sweet sound of silence (except for the fabulous sound of jet noise) and I can look out over my partially ice covered pond on a brilliantly sunny winter day, I will create. Today's attempt will be basic at best, yet as my confidence in this new world grows so shall the blog.

So when you read my random thoughts and observations about my wonderfully crazy life, drink some hot chocolate stirred with a peppermint stick, or if late at night a bit of my favorite peppermint schnapps, and enjoy a hug from afar. Of course I'd rather share all this in person but perhaps this will make the miles between us at least seem shorter.
